My husband and I have owned these chairs for 3 years. We are constantly toting their virtues to those at the beach who are intrigued by them. They are very light weight and have straps that make them easy to carry on one shoulder. Since we are older and with some physical limitations, this makes life easier getting on and off the beach. On windy days you do need to hold on to or take down the canopy, but umbrellas are useless on these days too. These chairs are more likely to tip over and need securing with beach bags, but others we own do so too.I agree that some of the pieces could be made sturdier like the plastic and velcro clasps. However the sun has not eaten through the material as in some other chairs we have purchased. I wish the company could strengthen the fabric seams on the arms, then we would not need to purchase new chairs. The setting up and taking down are more complex than a traditional chair, but its virtues outweigh the flaws. We're purchasing more.
