This are beautiful chairs, but upon inspection of the legs, they were obviously not checked for quality control. One of the chairs had moderate damage on two of the legs due to a manufacturing glitch of some sort. My husband spent an hour shaving off the frayed wood and sanding the leg to rid it of splintered wood. Other than that, they are quite nice. If the company is selling these as "seconds" they should indicate that in their description. These were definitely "seconds" in my opinion. However, there is more positive to these chairs than negative, so I will say, that they ARE nicely stained, substantial, and well designed.
