I bought this chair from this Amazon seller after seeing it on another website for considerably more money. It arrived very well packaged and I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was of really solid quality. It's made of good hardwood and it sits very stably on the floor. The rattan seems a bit brittle but in the 2 months that I've had it, I've had no problems with it cracking. I've put a seat cushion and a lumbar pillow on it and I think that helps with the wear and tear. I also make sure to protect it from direct sunlight. I might try a bit of mineral oil on the rattan to see if that will soften it.
